DubbelDutch is a Chrome Extension designed to assist language learners on NPO.nl and Kijk.nl.

1. Data Collection & Usage

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not track your browsing history, cookies, or account details.

2. Subtitle Processing

To provide dual subtitles, the extension captures Dutch text from the active video player. This text is sent to the Google Translation API to generate English translations in real-time. This data is processed transiently and is never stored by the extension or the developer.

3. Local Configuration

We use the chrome.storage API to save your UI preferences (e.g., toggle states and language checkboxes) locally on your device. This data remains on your machine and is not synced to external servers.

4. Third-Party Services

Translation services are provided by Google. Please refer to the Google Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.
